six word story #119

21 September 2021 at 13:50

False hope tricked her. Disappointment followed.

This post was written in response to my own Saturday Six Word Story Prompt (6WSP) #91: Trick. Click on the link to read entries from my fellow bloggers.

There are cases when we let ourselves get carried away with too much of false hopes. When reality comes knocking, things fall into place only to crash and burn. The disappointment that follows can be hard to bear. I prefer the hard, bitter reality over sugar-coated false hopes. What about you? What do you think? Do let me know in the comments section.

Hey! Remember Me?

13 September 2021 at 13:06

It has been over a week since I have posted anything other than 6WSP posts here. I had been meaning to announce a mini-hiatus but somehow I just didn’t get any time. The past few days have been a rollercoaster rides. It was one of those times when 24 hours doesn’t just seem to be enough to finish doing all that I have to do. I have finally caught up on a few of a blogs and approved many pending pingbacks. The delayed 6WSP roundups will be up soon. My apologies for the delay. I am slowly catch up.

I don’t think I will be as active as before. Posting every single day has taken a toll on me. But I will try to work out a schedule that I am comfortable with. Reading is the one thing that I have somehow managed to squeeze into my busy day. Blogchatter’s the TBRChallenge has been a great source of motivation indeed. Also, I have signed up for Blogchatter’s MyFriendAlexa campaign. For the successful completion of this challenge, I am required to post at least 8 posts in a month. I think I will be able to achieve that target!

The comments on my blog will be turned off for all posts other than the 6WSP posts for a while. Don’t worry. I’ll be back to normal soon. Till then, take care.

Stay safe.

Don’t hesitate to like, share and subscribe. 🙂
