You have probably noticed that I’m on a fluid sabbatical…

I somehow miss posting about music, especially since I’ve been listening to some new stuff and got into some new music.

I might just do…oh, I don’t know πŸ˜„

But anyway…love to you all β™₯

Hi People,

6 July 2020 at 10:26

Hope you’re all well.

I have really been thinking about this for a while, but I’m going to shelf this blog for the time being.

It’s just quite time intensive, even with just posting press releases. I really enjoyed it in the beginning, and to be honest, it’s quite amazing to know that I’ve had artists on this site who were only just starting out, but are known all over the world now. But, as nice as it is, I was starting to get frustrated…

I don’t want to rant, because it was a labour of love, but I’m just frustrated that there’s so little possibility of interaction to connect people like me, who love music and want to spread the word, and the bands who are desperate to get the word out.

It doesn’t really mean that I’ve completely gone away, I’m still thinking about this website, it’s just that I’m trying to find ways to make it work.

I can tell, by looking at the analytics, that there are people visiting TPOS, but….

……anyway, I’ll keep it running as a memento, and even pay the yearly fee to keep the name for the website, but there won’t be any posts for the time being.

Please feel free to email me with any questions: itsnotonlyrocknrollbaby@gmail.com

Stay safe, take care and all the best!!!

Hey Everyone….

12 November 2019 at 15:08

Just to let you all know, we’ve decided to move the posts to Instagram. One reason is that it’s just more convenient for us to post on there, and also possibly and hopefully easier to reach more people.

The account is The Planet Of Sound

Hope to see you all there xxx

Larkin’s New Song β€˜Wallflower’, Video for β€˜Sugar Sweet’ + Tour Dates!

15 July 2019 at 09:13

In case you haven’t listened to it yet, Larkins have a new song out called Β β€˜Wallflowerβ€˜. It’s the dreamy B-side to their latest singleΒ β€˜Sugar Sweet’.

The β€˜Sugar Sweet’ videoΒ has already had over half a million views, and the song has had great critical support from the likes of The Independent, Dork Magazine, Balance Magazine and many more.Β

Larkins have made a massive impact this year following the release of their debut singleΒ β€˜TV Dream’ on Good Soldier Records. They’ve gone on to sell out a defining 2000 capacity hometown show at Manchester’s Albert Hall, played their biggest London show yet at Dingwalls last month and also played their first shows in the US at SXSW.

Larkins are playing their debut show in LA tonight at School Night. The Manchester band then return to the UK to play Y Not Festival, and they’ve also just been announced as second to headline on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading & Leeds.

Larkins will be completing an extensive 16-date headline tour starting in October and you can find full datesΒ here.Β
